ABOUT ME

Hi There!  I’m Bridgit Lacy-Wolak, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with 17 years of experience helping adults untangle the knots of anxiety, trauma, depression, relationship struggles, and those “what-am-I-doing-with-my-life?” transitions.

My career started in Family Preservation at the Department of Social Services, where I worked closely with families navigating crisis and complex dynamics. From there, I transitioned to working with teens in Residential Treatment, helping them process trauma, build coping skills, and develop a sense of stability. Later, I worked with children and their families in Baltimore City Public Schools, providing emotional and behavioral support while collaborating with teachers and caregivers to create a supportive environment.

Over time, though, I found my true passion in working with adults, spending 13 years at a Community Based Mental Health Clinic in Baltimore. At this point, I’ve pretty much seen it all and heard it all. So no, I won’t be shocked by whatever’s on your mind—promise.

These experiences have given me a deep understanding of how early life experiences, family relationships, and larger systems shape who we become. Now, working with adults, I help clients untangle the patterns that no longer serve them, find clarity in their emotions, and build a stronger sense of self. I believe that healing doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time—sometimes, it’s about small shifts, self-compassion, and even finding moments of humor along the way.

A couple of years ago, I moved to Colorado to soak up all the beauty and adventure it has to offer. Now, I provide virtual therapy for adults in Colorado and Maryland, creating a space where you can exhale, feel heard, and actually make sense of what’s going on inside that overthinking brain of yours. My approach? It’s warm, supportive, and tailored to you—with a little humor thrown in, because let’s be honest, life can be ridiculous sometmes.

When I’m not helping clients navigate life’s ups and downs, you can usually find me hiking, enjoying nature, working out, reading, or spending time with my husband and our cats. During football season, my Sundays are strictly reserved for Ravens games (sorry, Broncos fans—I promise it’s nothing personal). And while I love my new home out West, I’m still an East Coaster at heart, so I spend as much time as possible visiting, texting, and catching up with family and friends (who I miss terribly).

Thanks for stopping by and getting to know me a little. If you’re ready to start untangling the mental knots, I’d love to help.
